Child Abuse Prevention Month

Child Abuse Prevention Month

Coronavirus will not stop our commitment to youth and families in Central Florida.

Though we have recently made some adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this virus will not stop our commitment to supporting children and families in crisis across Central Florida. Those who depend on us cannot wait for things to get back to normal.

In times of financial uncertainty and the increased stresses placed on families, domestic violence and child abuse cases tend to rise. Our Mobile Response Team is working harder than ever to connect with at-risk families and provide them with the resources they need to navigate this difficult time.

We are still serving 30 teenagers in foster care in our Residential Group Homes. Our staff is working hard to keep our kids in engaged in fun activities and to transition them to online learning. Just like at your homes we are social distancing and trying to navigate online schoolwork. We have many seniors in our homes who are devastated by the loss of prom and graduation. We are doing everything we can to keep their spirits and hopes high!

Please consider making a contribution to Friends of Children and Families to help our community when they need it the most. All donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of fund go directly to those in need. Even in times of crisis, our work is so desperately needed and your support is appreciated now more than ever!
