Like many of you we have been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 throughout the United States and we have been following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and local health authorities to ensure we have the right plans and resources in place to safeguard the health of the children in our care and our staff.
Friends of Children and Families provides residential group homes for 30 teenagers in foster care across Central Florida. Due to the COVID-19 crisis our fundriasing events have been postponed, yet we are still provided much needed services to youth and families in crisis. We are adjusting our budget, staffing, and programming to prepare for unexpected school closings, a transition to e-learning, and social distancing.
It takes a village to raise a child and we are so grateful to have your support in this uncertain time.
